One of my favorite things is collecting some of the beautiful photography available from around the net.
Its like a grand tour were you visit unique sites without leaving the comfort of home.
Edited and unedited alike – there are some talented photographers out there that love to share as much as we love to gawk.
God bless ’em.
Check out these random shots from various sources!
This graphite piece by Joe Fenton from Brooklyn is not only huge, taking 8 months to finish but is intensely detailed.
With so much going on its sort of like a fantastically awesome “Wheres Waldo” picture.
The fire whirl, also known as the fire devil or fire tornado is a rarely captured phenomenon in which a fire can under certain conditions (depending on air temperature and currents), acquires a vertical vorticity and forms a tornado-like rotating column of air.
Fire whirls may be whirlwinds separated from the flames, either within the burn area or outside it, or a vortex of flame, itself.
History records huge fire whirls that have diabolically sprung up out of blazes killing masses of people in matters of minutes. Most of the largest fire whirls have come from wildfires. They can be up to 100 miles high and persist for more than 20 minutes powerful enough to uproot trees!
Naturally beautiful and intimidating at the same time…
Check ’em!
This has been around for a little while, yet without a doubt deserves a spot on this site.
This is notoriously known as the “first zombie-proof house”, which is a bold claim remaining untested. (Money back guarantee?)
At casa de no-zombie the house can basically go into hibernation mode completely sealing itself off from the outside world (and sneak attacks from the undead)
It has an extendable draw-bridge to gain access in and out when leaving to salvage food/weapons. And when things “die down” a bit, the patio opens up for quite evening outdoors.
It appears to be encased in durable glass on the lower levels, eliminating claustrophobia while giving clear view to your killzones.
We aren’t told, but I’m sure land-mines surround the property that remain dormant until activated.
Rock on, zombie proof house…rock on.
Much better source with more details and more pics here!
Thanks Redditer twofeetcia for the heads up.
