Back in the year 2k I worked with an advertising group that manufactured stadium seats for direct sales to school booster clubs.
They would have them made over seas and shipped in mass on huge cargo shipping containers. These were lifted off the boats and hitched to semis for transport to our location were we would UPS them individually to perspective customers.
I can remember the days we were expecting deliveries and having to actually unload those containers. After hours of chipping away at box after box in just one of them stacked to the brim we began to reach the back.
I remember thinking to myself how at the time the container was almost as big (if not bigger) than my apartment. Just throw the thing out in a field somewhere and insert a couple of couches and I’d have had a makeshift bachelor pad of kings!
Apparently my idea wasn’t that far fetched to some of these folks that decided to “go green” with these massive boxes. From extreme elegance to extremely bizarre – these re-purposed houses are unique to say the least!
